Delete Your Jigi Mi Account
Last updated: September 23, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Jigi Mi account and account data, as required by Google Play's account deletion policy. It applies whether you still have the app installed or not.
1. Delete Your Account In The App
If Jigi Mi is still installed, you can delete your account directly from Settings:
- Open Jigi Mi and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the Privacy & Legal section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- In the confirmation prompt ("Delete account?"), tap Delete. This permanently deletes your account, saved history, and photos, and can't be undone.
2. Don't Have The App Anymore?
If you no longer have Jigi Mi installed, you can still request deletion by email:
- Send an email to contact@jigimi.com from the same email address on your account.
- Use the exact subject line: Delete my account
We process email deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. We may reply first to confirm the request, since we can only delete an account from an email we can verify belongs to it.
3. What Gets Deleted
Whether you delete your account in the app or by emailing us, here's exactly what happens.
Deleted immediately
- Your account — email address, password (we only ever store a salted hash of it, never the password itself), and any linked Sign in with Apple / Google identifiers.
- Saved photos — any photo you kept via "Save history" is permanently removed from our Cloudflare R2 storage.
- Your check history — every Full Look result tied to your account (occasion, score, headline, what's working, adjustments and the AI's response), including results from checks done while "Save history" was off, along with their image records. Quick Check results are never stored, so there are none to delete.
- Your Jigi Mi Plus entitlement record — the record we keep to track your subscription status. This is separate from the subscription itself — see Section 4.
- Product-usage events recorded against your account (for example, when you started onboarding or completed a check). This data only ever lived in our own database — it's never shared with a third-party analytics network.
Kept, and for how long
- Backups: deleted data may remain in our encrypted database backups for a limited period after deletion, until that backup is rotated out and permanently purged.
- Security logs: basic server logs (request timestamps, IP addresses) are kept briefly for security and abuse-prevention purposes — for example, rate-limiting repeated sign-in attempts — then deleted or anonymized.
- Pre-account activity: if you used Jigi Mi's free checks before creating an account, that anonymous usage record was linked to your account when you signed up. Deleting your account unlinks it, and it's then deleted automatically after a limited period — except a record that the app was installed, which is kept with nothing that identifies you or your device, only to count installs.
4. Canceling Your Subscription
Deleting your Jigi Mi account does not cancel an active subscription bought through Google Play (or the Apple App Store). Those subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Google or Apple, not by us. If you have an active Jigi Mi Plus subscription, cancel it in the Google Play Store (or App Store) first — otherwise it may keep renewing and charging you even after your Jigi Mi account and data have been deleted.
